Tobey Maguire Sued for Illegal Gambling
Former “Spider-Man” Tobey Maguire is one of a dozen Hollywood celebrities who are being sued in connection with an illegal gambling ring. The ring allegedly ran multi-million dollar underground poker games. 35-year-old Maguire won more than 0000 from a Beverly Hills hedge fund manager who embezzled investor funds and orchestrated a Ponzi scheme. Brad Ruderman is currently in prison until 2018 for his crimes. An FBI investigation uncovered that the secret games were held twice a week in suites at the Beverly Hills hotel, Four Seasons and the Viper Room on Sunset Blvd. Maguire is estimated to have won up to to million during the three year period he played illegal poker.
