The Dire Situation Of PC Gaming

It seems that PC gaming is something that has begun a trend of a downhill climb. One that is thanks to many companies that are now putting out restrictive software that have too many limits set on them. Instead of continuing the production of games like they did in the past they are focusing on the console market and working to build up the games available there.

The majority of pirates who do download their games would never buy the games to begin with. Many people flock to sites to download no CD cracks just so they do not have to have malice programs like securom running on their systems. Of all the companies leading this trend is Ubisoft a lackluster business whose executive’s appear to be sleeping under their ambitions of wealth and fame.

Ubisoft seems to be one of the top of the line software companies that is placing in these DRM and install limits on thier new games. Many of which are actually below par of what they have produced in the past, and now offering less game and more hassle. Now they are demanding that a player will need to have an internet connection at all times to play not only multiplayer games, but also single player games.

A constant internet connection is not something that everyone has control over. Instead it is up to the cable company or other company that you are getting for your internet connection in the first place. Plus with those limited installs in place it might as well be renting a software game instead of buying it to use for many times.

Now lets not get me wrong I buy a lot of games, but it just seems that tactics like above are just screaming for the opposite of what was intended. The words they shout are saying pirate me download me and just thumb your nose at the company’s that create these Draconian tactics.

You might as well head on out and rent these games if you only have one install or two available. Because you are flushing your money away if you are buying it and cannot use it more than once or twice.

It is like they are wanting you to beg for yet another installation that you can use. Do you really feel like doing that?

Yet this is not a situation that will arise for those users of the console. Instead they have a chance for unlimited uses, and the chance to even resell their games. Places would take PC games before but that has stopped too.

What is funny about this situation of pirating is that when you head to somewhere and check it out. Well a lot of the games that are there are those console games. See you can easily mod your console and play a game that you pirate.

The companies are not seeming to focus on this problem though. But instead they are coming down on those people who play games through the PC instead.

Plus another problem seems to be these games that have been created for both the PC and the console. The movements are something that are more jerky and have you overstepping and missing things. No chance to remap the keys that have been set up to control your player, and when you are able to save the game.

The graphics for these games also seem to be lacking. Should these companies abandon all hope for those people who are playing on their PCs? No they should remember that they get sales from that market as quickly as any other that are out there.
