Gambling for the Future: The Northern Arapaho and Indian Gaming in Wyoming

High-stakes gambling on Native American lands has been controversial over the years. The Northern Arapaho Indian Tribe on the Wind Indian Reservation in west-central Wyoming won a series of court cases that allowed the tribe to operate casino gambling. Tribal officials talk about how this new form of economic development has changed the lives of tribal members and will preserve the tribal culture for generations to come. This film was a project of a film production class at the Wind River Tribal College in Ethete, Wyoming. This film was an entry in the 2011 Wyoming Short Film Contest.
