When looking at the NFL Lines for week six of the 2011 NFL Season, the first game that jumps out at you as one that could be an issue is Green Bay (-15) hosting St. Louis. While it’s true that Green Bay is the superior team coming into this the match (Green Bay is 5-0 while St. Louis is 0-4), betting that Green Bay will win by 15 or more points may be a bit problematic. While Green Bay should be heavily favored to win the game, can you be so sure that they will win by more than two touchdowns?
The Patriots are playing Patriot type football, and besides a hickup against the Bills two weeks ago they are playing like you would expect them to play. Dallas, on the other hand, have been all over the place this season, going 2-2 after giving up a huge lead against Detroit. While Dallas may be able to muster up some strength in this nationally televised game, the truth is that -7 is more than likely a very good bet if you are looking to put some money down on the favorite Patriots.

One of the more intriguing week six match ups of the 2011 NFL season may not be teams that are going to be going to the post-season anytime soon, but none-the-less the Cincinnati Bengals (-7) hosting the Indianapolis Colts could be interesting to watch. The reason for this is simple: though the NFL Lines will tell you that Cincinnati should win the game, Indianapolis has been flirting with breaking through in the past couple of weeks. Curtis Painter looked pretty decent in his first career start, even if the team could not hold onto the big lead they had against Kansas City in the second half. They look like a team that is going to win a couple of games in upcoming weeks.
While St. Louis has looked terrible this season they are going to wake up at some point. This team is too good to go 0-16, especially when you have Stephen Jackson and Matthew Stafford as your offensive core. If you are betting merely on who will win the game Green Bay is a darn good bet. With that said, though, -15 may be a bit much. This might actually be a game you should look to avoid because there is just as good of a chance of the Rams making it a 10 point game as there is Green Bay winning by 40 points.

Arguably the most high profile game during week six of the NFL season see’s Dallas traveling to New England for a late afternoon game. Checking out the NFL Lines you’ll notice that New England is a seven-point favorite, which may seem a little low, all things considered. You can see why betters may see seven points as realistic as the Cowboys are coming off of an bye-week while the Pats are coming off a big, heavy win against the Jets. You could say that the Cowboys are well rested and the Patriots are banged up, though to really put that into practice you may be ignoring the season as a whole.
