Football Season
The Transfer Window which is in January excites all the football fans, the clubs and the players alike. Twice a year players from various football clubs get signed to new clubs to play for. The two periods in one year are the mentioned month of January, and the summer transfer window, staring at the beginning of June, and lasting until August.
If the signings are done correctly, there are many teams at the start of football season which are full of good new players. If managers don’t decide to sign player or players fro other clubs, they usually decide to promote young players from youth leagues. The new players are expected to improve the areas of the team, such as defense, attack or midfield. There usually is a period of time needed for a player to get used to the way his new team mates play, especially if he is not signed from their youth or reserve, but coming from a whole other team.
Some perceive signings as risking, because new player or players cannot guarantee they will fit well in their new team, thus there is no guarantee they will play as well as it is expected from them. High profile players are usually the most expensive ones and the ones club’s fans demanded. These players are usually under intense pressure, which makes someone unable to perform according to their possibilities.
Signing is January are sometimes seen as signing done in panic. When a player is panic signed, it means the team had to have him. Managers often need to find good solutions if a team scores badly due do, for instance, attack problems. When the fist choice players don’t perform well or are maybe injured, the managed can sign new players during the January window.
They say there’s a tiny blip in January in comparison to June. It usually happens that the majority of big profile players are cup tied in January. If players participate in the UEFA Championship league, European clubs usually don’t sign them. If one player is cup tied (he participated in that competition in the current season with his club), he can’t play for some other team. These players are allowed to play in domestic leagues only if they do get signed.
If a player is signed in the January transfer, it means the club has had them targeted for a very long time before that. Managers have scouts who watch players play over and over before they’re signed. Signing a player is a complex process. Clubs that do the transfer need to reach an agreement when signing the player bout the sum of money. When this is resolved, the player in question has to settle for his weekly wage, bonuses for matches as well as for the annual percentage that the new club will offer. Sign up fees also need to be paid when a player who’s a free agent gets signed.
